Kenya 2011

Yes, you guessed it, it is that time again!  Dr. Buckmiller and her team are leaving for Kenya!

The team has been preparing for months for today’s departure from the states to join up with World Medical Missions for an amazing experience for both those working as well as those receiving surgery.  As the packers were stuffed to the capacity, luggage arranged and rearranged, shot records, license, monies, and all things in between secured, the day has come to embark on the life changing journey.

This year, joining Dr. Buckmiller and World Medical Missions, are Patti Kymer, Anesthesia MD; Charlie Pohl, CRNA; Lesley Reed, CRNA; Trina Bookout, RN; and Emily Copeland, RN, all from Arkansas Children’s Hospital!

They will be traveling for the next few days, so please keep them in your prayers!  As soon as we hear that they have landed safely, we will be sure to post!  🙂  Be looking for exciting news updates on their surgeries as well as the many loved pictures of those babies!

Have a wonderful day!

Hi everybody. I expected more today. I remembered Emily and Diane up to all hours blogging away. Probably nothing to do without me there. Anyway, I’m looking forward to more exciting adventures, if you’re having any without me. Soooo….the big question is: If I have a 10.1 megapixel camera now, does Lisa measure her pixels in terapixels? Also, I have an iPhone now and an iPad. At least I’m trying; very trying. Sorry I couldn’t come this year, but I am following along. Should be there next year. Big news! Rebekah had a little boy two weeks ago, number 10, and Sarah is pregnant with 11 (12?); who knows. Hannah still is unmarried. Everyone is doing well. Take care very much.
    Love,
    Charles

Dr. Ford-Dr. Buckmiller will be thrilled to see your note! I am sure they miss you very much! Diane is here with us in the states this time and Emily is in Kenya. Sorry no pictures yet, the internet service isn’t good enough yet to send photos! As soon as it is, I am sure they will get me pictures to push out to everyone following!

      Have a blessed evening!

    Hi Lisa,

I was so excited to get Richard’s email telling me you are in Africa. He and Anna really miss you, but I’m sure they are proud that you can be a part of such an amazing ministry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. We are so happy for you and amazed at how the Lord leads you and gives you the strength for each new day.

Your Dad is coming to Bismarck tomorrow to visit a few days while your Mom entertains her friends at Phoenix. What a wonderful friendship she has with her special pals. We always enjoy your folks’ visits here too.

Bless you, Lisa. We love you,

    Auntie Willa & Uncle Gordy
